SNATCH: Spent a shit ton of time failing at 145. Got it. Did 155, but wasn't a full squat. Got under it good and fast though. I'm counting it as my new 1RM
ReplyDeleteC&J: 185x2 First Jerk form stunk, next one nailed it.
195x3 All had questionable jerk form. NO PR today. But will keeping working form at heavy weight. Its confidence and form not strength (if that makes sense).
Only time for one 800M - 2:50. Will have to make up and do bonus cardio tomorrow.
Wasn't feelin' it during snatches. Just couldn't get underneath 135. Next time.

4x800m - 3:26, 3:25, 3:31, 3:30
My snatches were ugly. Got 125, but it didn't feel right. Couldn't find 'the hook'. Either put the bar too far back or not far enough. Did it 3 times but it never felt right so I didn't add weight. Which was annoying becuase I can power snatch that all day.
ReplyDeleteC&J was 185# I'm pretty happy about that. I tried 190 but didn't have the explosion off the bottom.
I'm still not running because of my IT band. :(
So I did the 3x10 squats, frt squats and than did
21/15/9
10# weighted yoga ball sit ups (my GHD sub)
95# split press.

G, how close are you to a BW snatch? You're already doing BW C&J
ReplyDeleteI've squat snatched 130. I've gotten 135, but didn't break parallel, got about 3/4, so I'm counting that as a power snatch PR.
