On a side note, some in the fitness circle have questioned low repetition higher weight excercises whether as a whole WOD or just a supplement. Muscles do not fit into standard cut clothes as well as being skinny fat (skinny but not fit). While I do preach ‘It is about what you want’ and will not waiver from this conviction, I do also still believe that being strong ‘ makes you more useful and generally harder to kill’ (waiting for someone to tell me who’s quote this is. It is getting so old that I will take any of two possible answers because I have forgotten the original author!)
Why do we go heavy:
-Neurological response
-Bone Density
-Form follows function
Would you prefer to look like the sprinter, lifter or the marathoner?
So if training is going to cause some ‘thunder’ and ‘lightining’ where our clothes might fit different, then I say
BRING ON THE RAIN!
TRAIN HARD
